Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Deb Bossio is pleased to be returning to her home town to practice naturopathic medicine at Ridgefield Chiropractic & Wellness Center.

After receiving undergraduate degrees in Biology and Anthropology from Colby College, she earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. She then joined National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon to complete her residency in family medicine. Dr. Bossio received additional medical training at Seattle Children's Hospital, Highline Cancer Center, and West Hill Gastroenterology.  For the past two years Dr. Bossio served patients in private practice at Hawleyville Naturopathic Medical Center in Newtown, CT.    There, she worked alongside Dr. Joshua Berry, a distinguished naturopathic pediatrician and Lyme disease specialist.

As a family practice physician, Dr. Bossio provides comprehensive health care to all members of the family.  Patients can expect individualized treatment plans that may include diet and nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and physical medicine. Dr. Bossio has an open, holistic approach to medicine and is known for taking the time to get to know her patients. She looks forward to assisting patients in their quest for optimal health and well-being.

In addition to her general practice, Dr. Bossio also specializes in women’s health. She has trained with a reproductive endocrinologist in Portland, Oregon and with renowned naturopath Tori Hudson, a national leader in women’s health and author of Women’s Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine.  Inspired by these experiences, Dr. Bossio treats a wide variety of women’s issues including menopause, infertility, and menstrual disorders.

Dr. Bossio is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the State of Connecticut and a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
When not practicing medicine you are likely to find Dr. Bossio taking in nature's splendor with her daughter and husband. She is equally at home in the yoga studio, at the seashore or climbing a mountain peak.
